چکیده
Objective: Resin-modified glass ionomer (RMGI) cements are among the commonly used restorative materials inlow stress-bearing areas and also for temporary restorations. The competition between acid-base reactions andlight polymerization in delayed curing of RMGIs can affect their physical mechanical properties,as well as degree conversion. Since solubility, color stability, opacity main physicalproperties affecting durability clinical service RMGI restorations, this study aimed to assess effectof on Fuji II LC RMGI. Material Methods: This invitro, experimental evaluated 80 specimens (10 per each 4 groups) termsof at 6 months later. Specimens were cured immediately or curedwith 1, 5 10 min delay. Results: Maximum solubility minimum change stabilityat noted group with by min. A significant difference was thesolubility after 1 Significant differences andcolor stability all other groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Delayed curingby decreased compared immediate min.Although did not reach statistical significance. Color changes mainlyinfluenced rather than reactions.KEYWORDSGlass Ionomer cement; Solubility; Color; Opacity.

The Effect of Cigarette Smoking on Solubility and Disintegration of Resin Modified Glass Ionomer Cement – An In Vitro Study
Introduction: Glass ionomer cement (GIC) is a dental restorative material that is prone to solubility and degradation. GIC could degrade in presence of water and desiccation due to environmental factors during setting process and eventually might lead to the failure of the restoration. Cigarette smoking brings a complex chemical mixture to oral cavity that can inhibit polymeriz...

متن کاملEffect of etching and light-curing time on the shear bond strength of a resin-modified glass ionomer cement.
The aim of this study was to assess the influence of etching and light-curing time on the shear bond strength (SBS) and adhesive remnant index (ARI) of a resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) upon debonding of orthodontic brackets. Sixty-eight bovine permanent incisors were obtained and embedded in acrylic resin. Edgewise metallic brackets were bonded to the teeth with Fuji Ortho LC RMGIC...

Three groups werecured with a Quartz Tungsten Halo...
متن کاملInfluence of Light-Curing Units on Color Stability of Composite Resins After Aging
Background and Aim: The use of composite restorations has increased in recent years. One of the most important problems with composite restorations is the loss of consistency between the composite and tooth color, which in most cases requires replacement. Materials and Methods: In this study, the color stability of 40 disc-shaped specimens (10 mm in diameter and 2 mm in height) from two types ...
